LIGHTBOX = HNNNG

PRODUCT SHOTS (in my room) JUST GOT REAL.

Really, though, I bought this to have a plain white canvas for shooting finished knitting projects since my house doesn’t have the greatest lighting ever. It also came with a lighting set that I need to set up and test in the wee hours of the morning, which is when I usually end up photographing yarn and projects anyway >_>

Sooooo excited to mess around with this more later.

Jolse and CosRx, Mini Nature Republic Haul

That moment when you manage to resist buying ALL THE COSMETICS and only purchase one thing from your Korean estore of choice >_> My wallet thanks me for only buying the CosRx Racism Liquid (AHA 7 Whitehead Power Liquid) through Jolse’s Amazon storefront and resisting every mask I wanted from KoreaDepart and every Etude House and Peripera item I’ve been eyeing for weeks now.

I’ve got some wrinkling on my forehead and some closed comedones/tiny whiteheads that refused to go away, so hopefully the CosRx AHA will help me out with those. I have a physical exfoliation routine (about 1x a week I use Skinfood’s Black Sugar Strawberry Wash-off mask) but I doubt that helps with whiteheads and wrinkles.

In other news, I just got back from Hawaii and did some shopping at Ala Moana’s Nature Republic store:

This was part 1 of two mini hauls I did from that store. I swear I only bought about six masks in total (bringing my current mask inventory to about 25) and stuck to products that added to my routine, rather than replacing anything in my routine. I’m still in the process of testing out the Fresh Green Tea Foam Cleanser, but after a few weeks of using it I can tell you it leaves me feeling clean without stripping my skin of its natural oils. I got my pH testing strips last night, so I’ll be able to properly test its pH this week.

I was hoping to purchase a different foaming cleanser from them, but I couldn’t purchase it on its own as it was bundled with the Green Derma Mild Cream, and I couldn’t justify buying a cream that felt like a nicely scented but overpriced version of CeraVe Moisturizing Cream.

Reviews are coming soon for the cleanser, Real Nature Honey Ampoule, and a few other things I’m still testing out. I haven’t gotten on testing the Forest Garden Olive Cleansing Oil, but I’m hoping to soon now that my skin’s getting used to using a foaming cleanser again. Don’t get me wrong; I’m still using CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser in the mornings and some evenings but with summer approaching I feel like a little foaming action is needed to really keep my pores clean from all the sweat and dirt.

[SWATCHES] Innisfree Eco Flower Tint Balm – no. 2 Garden Basalm

During an impulse buy discussion on /r/AsianBeauty, I mentioned how I impulsively threw Innisfree’s Eco Flower Tint Balm in Garden Basalm into my cart and, while risky, it turned out to be one of the better impulse buys I made. /u/jubbib requested swatches of said tint, which I created really fast swatches for (evening time + crappy lighting = D:)

This morning I revisited the swatches and realized with the overcast morning I could create better swatches with better white balance. Garden Basalm, while really orange in the tube, can go anywhere from looking reddish-orange to a subtle orange on me and my already pigmented lips.
